Stoneboat owner Anna Desper Courville received her Masters in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology, graduating with Honors.
Having grown up working summers for her father's contracting business Anna brings a practical hands on knowledge of the construction field . A strong background in fine arts translates to her building designs.

Skilled in CAD drawing, Courville still prefers the traditional hand work of pencil and square. "Computers are great for producing a drawing comprised of repeated design elements however so many of our projects are one of a kind custom homes, drawing by hand eliminates the 'cookie cutter' look ."
Anna bought the business from founder Max Arnold in 2011, bringing her accomplished design talents and organizational skills into the business. Max remains on staff as the principal designer creating a well rounded team. Working closely with homeowners and local contractors, we generate designs that are environmentally sensitive, architecturally appropriate, and respectful of the owner’s budget.
Stoneboat designer, Max Alan Arnold has a strong art and design background, which, combined with years of experience in the building trades, gives him a unique understanding of the construction process, allowing him to create builder-friendly drawings to keep your project on budget.
The homeowner’s chosen builder will be part of the team through-out the design process, allowing Stoneboat Design to tailor the construction drawing to the particular builder's methods. If the owner does not have a builder, we can recommend one of the many contractors with which Stoneboat has a successful history.
